Poetry of Existence

She overcame the desire

Not to be touched

But Time’s stalking

Irresistible, so death

Came easy

As dying.

Obama t-shirt

Tossed on iron gate

A nation’s fate

Hangs in the balance.

Believers’ corner

Alive with the music

Of strict adherence.

Worn mattress

Abed in the gutter

Strains and stains

Of harried desire.

Sidewalk raised

By insurgent Spring

Ready for dance!

Church bells

Mark the hour

Of unbelief.

Graffiti messages

On every surface

Cars walls

Gates and cans

What’s up?

Nectar driven

Spring too short

To quench your quest

Queen awaits at court.
